Lesley-Anne Harris
Lesley joined More Harmony in 2013, having moved down to Cornwall from the Midlands. With experience of singing in choirs at school, she was keen to get stuck in and over the years, she has been the Choreographer, Secretary, Publicity Officer and Deputy Chairperson of the chorus. She became Musical Director in 2016 and SAI Approved Director in 2017.
"When I first joined More Harmony I didn't know anything about Barbershop - I just wanted a fun place to sing with lovely people and that's exactly what I found when I walked through the doors.
The more time I spent singing Barbershop the more I came to love it and the unique sound it lets us create.
My aim as Musical Director is to get everyone as addicted to singing as I am! So many people I speak to are nervous or fearful about singing in public or just coming along to rehearsal and singing in the group. I'm determined to break down the idea that there are people who "just can't sing".
Our rehearsals are full of fun, laughter and hard work, with an amazing, supportive atmosphere. More Harmony are a team and we help each other to be the best."
